The Company promotes the Japan Information Economy Society as a company that has established a system for taking appropriate protection measures for personal information in compliance with Japanese Industrial Standards JIS Q 15001 “Requirements for Personal Information Protection Management System”. It has been certified by the Association (JIPDEC) and has acquired the privacy mark.

MINSETSU CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “The Company”) provides information on listed companies to institutional investors and analysts. We fully recognize our social responsibilities in protecting personal information (including specific personal information) handled by The Company, protect the rights and interests of individuals, and comply with laws and regulations related to personal information.
We also pledge to establish a personal information protection management system in order to realize the following policies, and to continuously improve the system while always being aware of the latest trends in IT technology, changes in social needs, and changes in the business environment.

Policy 1. The purpose of use of personal information shall not be identified and the personal information shall not be handled beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose. We will also take appropriate measures to achieve this goal.
Policy 2. Comply with laws, regulations, government guidelines, and other norms regarding the handling of personal information.
Policy 3. Establishes internal rules for handling complaints and inquiries regarding the handling of personal information, and responds promptly and sincerely to complaints and inquiries.

1. Basic matters

The Company shall respect the privacy of those who use the services provided in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “This policy”) (hereinafter referred to as the “The Services”) and shall appropriately handle Customer personal information.

2. Definition of personal information

Personal information targeted by the This policy refers to information that can be selected from a particular individual, such as the name, date of birth, telephone number, address, family structure, or e-mail address of a living individual (such information that can be used to identify a particular individual by combining it with other information, even if it is not possible to identify a particular individual). Provided, however, that in the event the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003) (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information Protection Law”) or any other related laws and regulations are amended, such amendment shall comply with the definitions thereof.

3. Use of Personal Information

6. Important changes and notices

Any material changes or notices relating to the protection of personal information shall be made public on The Company website (https://msetsu.com).

7. Review of Personal Information Protection Policy

The Company may change the This policy to continuously improve the handling of personal information. In such a case, the changed This policy shall be posted on the The Company. In addition, in the event of any change in the content for which Customer consent is required under the laws and regulations, the Customer shall obtain the consent in the manner prescribed by the The Company.

8. GDPR Privacy Policy

The Company processes personal data of existing and potential customers in the European Economic Area in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

8-1. Collection of Personal Data

The Company may collect the following your personal data:

  3. Email address (professional)
  4. Telephone number (professional)
  5. Employer
  6. Online identifiers (IP address / cookie identifiers)
  7. Credit card / bank account information
  8. Recorded customer phone calls
  9. Video surveillance (CCTV footage)
  10. Further information voluntarily provided by you.

8-2. Purposes and Legal Ground of Processing

The Company processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Updating commencement and development of relationship between we and you.
  2. Maintaining information technology communication network.
  3. Requesting to approve material matters for us.
  4. Solving disputes, enforcing agreements and/or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  5. Complying with applicable laws and regulations, including cooperating with relevant authorities and regulators.
  6. Other purposes adjacent to the aforementioned purposes.

The Company processes your personal data based on the following legal ground:

  1. In case that personal data is voluntarily provided by you, the legal basis for the processing is the consent given by you (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR).
  2. In case that we process personal data to take steps prior to entering into agreements at the request of you, the legal basis for such processing is Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR.
  3. In case that we process personal data to comply with a legal obligation, the legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1) (c) of the GDPR.
  4. Otherwise, the legal basis for processing of personal data indicated above in Section 1 “Collection of Personal Data” is Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR.

8-3. Transfer and Disclosure of Personal Data

The Company may disclose personal data within the following scope:

  1. Our employees at Information System Department, Customer Success Department, and other business department.
  2. External advisors such as attorneys, accountants and tax advisors of us.
  3. Other business partners and their employees whom we needs to share the data with for the purpose of processing
  4. Courts and other dispute resolution bodies, law enforcement authorities and regulators.

8-4. Retention Period

Unless explicitly indicated otherwise at the time of the collection of your personal data, the Company will endeavor to erase personal data as soon as possible when retention is no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected or otherwise processed, and retention is not required by applicable laws or regulations or for the exercise or defense of legal claims.
